Maltman Messenger July 2024

Jul 01, 2024
Family of 5 celebrating independence day.
In this month's issue you will find resources for nutrition, food pantries, transportation, domestic violence support, and free activities for the kids this summer.

MMC will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, 2024 and Friday, July 5th, 2024 in observance of the holiday. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable day.

If you’ve been a patient here for a while, you have probably noticed some new faces in the office. We are happy to say we have brought on 2 new employees. The first, Jon, is working in management and on the front desk. The second, Haley, is working on the front desk and in nursing. Both have been a huge asset to our team in their time here and we are happy to have them working with our patients.

Are you trying to slim down to complete your summer body? Maltman Medical is happy to provide weight loss injections, weight loss IV drips, nutrition resources, and physical activity resources. Ask the staff today to get started.

Although we wish it would last longer, Summer is flying by and back to school season is just around the corner... are you ready? We are happy to help with well child exams and sports / school physicals. We pride ourselves in being able to accommodate the whole family. Please be sure to bring any paperwork that needs to be completed with you to your appointments. (There may be an additional charge for paperwork as insurance does not typically cover this.)

Nutritional Tip from Jessica

Having trouble kicking sodas? Try measuring out the amount of sugar that the soda says it includes. (ex: A 20 oz bottle of Mountain Dew contains nearly ⅓ a cup of sugar). This gives a great visual to help deter you from drinking that much sugar. Sometimes, I even recommend having patients place the baggie of sugar on top of wherever they keep their sodas so that when they go to grab it, they stop and think if it’s worth all of that sugar intake.
